Writing a Poem

Writing a poem is hard | difficult
Because there is always a beginning
But rarely an end

You find the same topics : themes
Hammering inside your head
And, when pulled out, leave marks
That words can cover up but feelings can’t forget

Sure, you can Write About It but you find
It’s All You Can Write because
You’re trying to deal with it,
You thought you’ve dealt with it
But you’re still dealing with it

Because poetry expands and expands until
It contracts | collapses
