Striations—
The moon, finely diced through telephone wires
A hard-boiled egg, separated evenly
The room, carefully aligned through metal poles
A Rubik’s cube, arranged symmetrically
The sunlight, thinly slanted through window blinds
A languid beehive, released quietly
The heart, slowly mapped through barbed wire
A silent stone, chipped slowly
—Viewed through lashes
