Dressed Up and Trussed Up

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree

Lying, bundled up, bundled together
Needles askew, branches askance
Sideways, shunted down on concrete
Nestled together, touching garbage bags

Pine trees

No longer needed, having served
Their merry purpose, the fashion
show of light and sparkles ended

One
Two three four

Tips touching, broken
Compass needles

Ye merry gentlemen have put
Away their cloaks and angels
On high have restored
Mangled mangers

Buried and then exposed in white
(dashed by snow/dressed up like eskimos)
The trees are headed for roasting
On an open fire
Without any yuletide carols
