| Summer Time - Edward Hopper |
that rushes past me from the north,
cold,
waiting for my ride
To the east, the sky is scratched with three white stripes
To the west, flashes of gold radiate from the hidden horizon
As I head home, safe from the cold in my car,
the wind waxes and wanes a flag outside the window
The sky to the south, changes colors again:
a watercolor of lilacs and lavenders,
a Giverny for Monet in the heavens
